Virginia Pilgrim Ramey
Dancer, Instructor, Choreographer
I am a native of Memphis, TN. I began my training at the Ballet Memphis School and joined the Company in 2001 and retired from the stage in 2023. My career highlights include the title roles in Giselle and Steven McMahon’s Cinderella, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Sugar Plum Fairy in Nutcracker, and the female lead in George Balanchine’s Square Dance. I have had the great privilege of dancing featured roles in many world premieres by contemporary choreographers such as Julia Adam, Mark Godden, Gabrielle Lamb, Trey McIntyre, and Matthew Neenan. Alongside my husband Brandon, I serve as Co-Director of the Ballet Memphis School and Youth Ballet Memphis.
